Hope joined DAS in 2022 and while providing intervention for students with dyslexia through the Main Literacy Programme completed the Specialist Diploma in Educational Therapy through the DAS Academy. Her interest in working with children who have dyslexia stemmed from her own experience with her foster child.
Hope has always been an educator, either professionally or privately. In her early career in the US she taught middle school language arts and later in Singapore, she was an English and Literature teacher at Raffles Institution. Before joining DAS, she had been a home educator for her two daughters and was an active member of the homeschooling community in Singapore.
Hope has a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Bible College (CBC) and during that time also obtained a teaching certificate from the Ohio Department of Education through a joint programme between the College of Mount Saint Joseph and CBC.
Hope is passionate about helping young people discover the joy of learning.
