CONNECTING FOR STUDENT SUCCESS: EXPLORING SERVICES FROM DAS INTERNATIONAL
I hope this letter finds you well as we prepare for the upcoming academic year. Over the past year, DAS International Services Ltd has continued to expand our commitment to “Empowering Successful Learning” by offering a range of specialised services designed to meet the unique requirements of students with specific learning differences and educational needs. Today, I’m delighted to share some important updates, including a leadership transition, that will further strengthen our partnership with your esteemed institution.
Leadership Transition
After many years of dedicated service, Ana Berta Oehlers-Jaen, Head of DAS International Services, will be retiring from her role. We are immensely grateful for her unwavering commitment and visionary leadership. Stepping into her portfolio is Dr Priscillia Shen, whose extensive background in special education—spanning teaching, research, and curriculum development—makes her exceptionally well-suited to lead DAS International forward.
Priscillia began her special education journey as an Educational Therapist at DAS in 2005, and her research interests encompass dyslexia, bilingualism, Chinese language, and mathematics. She has lectured and led numerous programmes at DAS Academy and holds a Doctor in Education (Dual Award) from the Institute of Education (UCL) and National Institute of Education (NTU). We are confident that her experience, passion, and dedication to current research will ensure a seamless transition and continued excellence in supporting learners.
New Service Update: Supporting Students who Learn Differently
As part of our commitment to inclusive education, DAS International now extends support to students who learn differently — these students experience academic challenges but are without a formal diagnosis of a learning difference. This expansion reinforces our dedication to ensuring no learner is left behind.
Specialist Teaching
Our specialist, one-to-one teaching provides targeted assistance across a broad range of subjects and skill areas, from literacy and mathematics to exam preparation, Chinese language proficiency, and preschool education. Conducted either in our DAS Learning Centres or onsite at your school, these sessions focus on enhancing critical and social-behavioural skills, ensuring each student’s journey is personalised for academic success and holistic growth.
Introducing DAS International’s Coaching Service
In addition to our established offerings, we’re excited to highlight our transformative Coaching service. Focused on unlocking an individual’s full potential and achieving targeted goals, coaching goes beyond counselling by guiding learners toward self-discovery, growth, and lasting positive change. It complements our teaching and assessments to foster academic achievement and personal development.
Concierge Assessment Services
Our time-sensitive, gold-standard psychological assessments are carried out by experienced registered psychologists to provide a comprehensive understanding of students’ needs. We offer assessments focusing on dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, school readiness, and other specific educational requirements. An assessment report can be provided within 3 weeks of an application. Time-sensitive assessments can be completed quickly as we understand that every assessment is a priority. Individual timelines are discussed with our clients and assessment timings are conducted in the quickest possible time.
Collaboration with Schools
We value collaboration and seek to partner with your institution’s Learning Support Teams to complement and enhance your efforts in supporting diverse student needs. Our specialists are well-versed in both international and Ministry of Education (MOE) systems, ensuring tailored solutions that align with curriculum demands.
