Children diagnosed with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD) require tailored instruction for different aspects of their learning. Supporting SpLDs like dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia in academics typically involve adopting models designed to facilitate the child’s understanding (eg. the Orton-Gillingham Principles and Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) model, etc.). When children are diagnosed with multiple learning differences, (eg. dyslexia and dyspraxia, dyslexia and ADHD, or dyslexia and Autism Spectrum Disorder.) Additional aid is required to ensure that they receive the best learning experience. In this talk, we will be uncovering the different methods and strategies developed to help children with co-occurring SpLDs.
