Yun Mei joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in 2019 and currently serves as a Lead Educational Therapist at the Bishan Learning Centre. She provides intervention for primary and secondary learners with dyslexia and other specific learning differences in the Chinese programme.

As part of the programme’s core team, Yun Mei oversees the training and Quality Assurance Audit of Chinese Educational Therapists. She also mentors junior therapists and leads the development of the Secondary Chinese curriculum, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of learners.

Yun Mei holds a Specialist Diploma in Educational Therapy (Chinese) from DAS Academy and lectures with the academy as an adjunct lecturer. She also completed a Master’s Degree in Education (Chinese Language) at the National Institute of Education (NIE), driven by her passion for language teaching and learning.

She is actively involved in research focused on evaluating student progress and programme effectiveness. Yun Mei has presented her work at both local and international conferences, including UNITE SpLD, SCCL’s Chinese Language Education Conference, and the Association of Reading and Writing in Asia (ARWA).
